goodbye blueprint magazine: martha stewart changes the plan

I was sorry to hear Blueprint is closing (as it's own publication). I think they did a fantastic job, but I do think they should have stuck to the craft and design ideas, instead of fashion too. I always get so much inspiration from the ingenious ideas the editors come up with (remember the recycled bridesmaid skirt? brilliant) and the November issue is no different.

I absolutely love the color palette of this piece (though the carpet is tres expensive). I have some of these same colors in my living room. But it's the candle idea I think is perfect for a wedding. Imagine the expense you would save if you had (soy) candles versus flowers? And what a lovely display...by Shane Powers, Blueprint editor/stylist.
